Happy Easter!

Woke up too early this morning to grab some quick groceries at S&R and then make Easter lunch. Our family decided to start this tradition where each of us take turns in cooking Sunday lunch, and of course I had to start it. Let's see if this actually picks up, or if I'm going to end up cooking lunch every Sunday.

I decided on kebabs because they cook faster and are pretty easy to prepare -- considering I was in a bit of a rush -- and made beef, chicken and shrimp ones for some variety. Paired it with a really simple greek salad to keep that little Mediterranean thing going on. Plus I just really wanted to eat something with feta cheese, being the sucker for cheese that I am. Then my mom made some pasta with really good tomato sauce.

Yes, definitely best enjoyed with a cold bottle of beer, and maybe a few glasses of mojitos. It's nice staying in, eating good food and having fun conversations.

Crossing my fingers that my brother will actually make something next Sunday.

Summer Inspirations

Summer in the Philippines isn't the most pleasant time of the year, what with the scorching heat and the lack of wind, but the abundance of beaches and the chance to wear clothes in the lightest of fabrics and the breeziest of designs make up for it.

The next few months will see these in constant rotation in my closet.

Trips to the beach will see colorful cover-ups, vintage-inspired swimwear and large hats, while on the streets I will be all about light maxi dresses, oversized tops, floral prints, comfortable wedges, fun accessories and candy-colored nail polish.

Take advantage of the season. It's gonna be hot hot hot!
